Nobody thought this would happen. Norway was not supposed to make it this far. England were supposed to have an easy ride to this stage. Not even those things happened – check our <\/span>sure wins today<\/span><\/a> before every game kicks off.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

And now on Saturday night in Miami, two of the best goal scorers in the world meet in a game that will decide who goes to the semi finals.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This is the match everybody is talking about right now and here at Suresttips we are going to tell you everything you need to know before it kicks off.<\/span><\/p>\n

Norway Were Not Supposed to be at the Quarter-Finals<\/b><\/h2>\n

Let us start with Norway because their story at this World Cup is something really special.<\/span><\/p>\n

Norway has not been at a World Cup since 1998. That is 28 years. An entire generation of Norwegian fans grew up seeing other countries play at the World Cup while their team stayed at home & watched on TV just like everyone else.<\/span><\/p>\n

When Norway finally qualified for 2026 people were happy but nobody expected them to go this far. Most people thought that they had lost in the group stage and then quietly went home.<\/span><\/p>\n

Then Erling Haaland showed up and then everything changed.<\/span><\/p>\n

Norway beat Senegal & Iraq in their group games. They lost to France but still made it through to the knockout rounds. Then in the Round of 32 they beat Ivory Coast 2-1 with Haaland scoring the winning goal late in the game.<\/span><\/p>\n

Then came the result that the whole world was surprised of.<\/span><\/p>\n

Norway beat Brazil 2-1. Yes. Brazil. Five time world champions. Haaland scored twice and sent Brazil home. A country of just over five million people knocked out one of the biggest football nations on the planet.<\/span><\/p>\n

Norway had never won a knockout game at a World Cup before this tournament. Now they have won 2 in a row. Nobody is laughing at Norway again.<\/span><\/p>\n

England Have Not Had It Easy Either<\/b><\/h2>\n

England never makes things simple for themselves when it comes to the World Cup. They never have and they probably never will.<\/span><\/p>\n

England won their group with seven points, beating Croatia and Panama and drawing with Ghana. In the next round they came from behind to beat DR Congo 2-1. Then came Mexico.<\/span><\/p>\n

England went to the Azteca Stadium in Mexico City, one of the loudest and most frightening football stadiums in the world and won 3-2.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

At one point they were playing with a red card and still found a way to win. Kane scored a penalty with ten men on the pitch to concede it. That result alone tells you this England team will not easily give up.<\/span><\/p>\n

England have been to the World Cup quarter finals 10 times before now. Norway is here for the very first time. That gap in exposure between these two teams will matter on Saturday night.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Two Men Who Will Decide This Game<\/b><\/h2>\n

Erling Haaland<\/b><\/h3>\n

Haaland is a 25yr old player playing his first ever World Cup. He has scored seven goals in just four games since the world cup begin. He has scored in his last 14 games for Norway in a row. He is tall, fast, strong and almost difficult to stop when he is rightly positioned with the ball.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Haaland came into this tournament as the best striker in club football and he has shown at this World Cup that he is the best striker on the planet right now full stop.<\/span><\/p>\n

Harry Kane<\/b><\/h3>\n

Kane is 32yrs old and this could be his last chance to win a World Cup. He has scored 6 goals in five games at this tournament.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

He has scored in every single knockout game he has ever played at a World Cup \/ European Championship.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

He has a total of 85 goals for England which is more than any other England player in history. Kane has been waiting his whole career for a moment like Saturday night in Miami.<\/span><\/p>\n

Young and hungry versus old and desperate. It does not get more exciting than this.<\/span><\/p>\n

England are not so lucky. Defender Jarell Quansah is banned after getting a red card against Mexico. He cannot play on Saturday or in the semi final if England get through.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Marc Guehi has a small thigh muscle problem & the doctors will check him on Friday to see if he can play.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Reece James is also doubtful with a hamstring injury.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

And Jordan Henderson has been sent home from the tournament completely after breaking his wrist celebrating the win over Mexico.<\/span><\/p>\n

Losing three defenders and a midfield player before a quarter final against the best striker in the world is a big problem for England.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
