Match Preview

Juventus scored a surprising 1-0 win over Atalanta in their last league clash, this result took them to the 4rd place. Although they came second best in the large part of the game, the outcome revealed their growing ability to secure wins.

Since Luciano Spalletti arrived in the game, Juventus have become more orderly and tough in defence without the ball. Their form is visibly doing well, with a strong defensive show offs & few to no mistakes at the defence line. Currently, they have not been defeated in most of their league games and are now looking more stable ahead of the final fixture for this season.

To add to this, their home win record in this fixture is very good and strong. Juventus have not lost to Bologna in Turin for more than a year now giving them a clear mental chance in this game.

Bologna, on the other hand, are dealing with bad luck after dropping out on the Europa League following a heavy loss to Aston Villa. They are now concentrating more on national football, but their position on the league table gives them little to no chance of playing in the finals of the week.

Not minding that, Bologna have shown a strong away form when it comes to the Serie A games, winning in some of their recent games on the road & steadily scoring goals. But, their bad record against Juventus still stands out as one of the top concerns and could play a big role again here.

Team News

Juventus are having attacking issues because Dusan Vlahovic is out with an injury, while Arkadiusz Milik is still not in the game. Several attacking players are out of form leading to changes in how the team plates in the attacking area.

However, Jeremie Boga has recently stepped up with important goals & could play a key role again. His boldness in scoring could  be important for Juventus in this match. In goal, Michele Di Gregorio is likely to keep his place after recent changes in the goalkeeper role.

Note that Bologna also have injury worries, mostly related to defence and goalkeeping. Lukasz Skorupski is yet to be available, and there is doubt about some of the key players after a tight midweek game. This may give younger players chances in goal and defence.

In attack, Riccardo Orsolini is still their biggest danger after scoring goals again recently, while Federico Bernardeschi is also trying to get a place in the starting team. Bologna will depend heavily on these available attacking options if they want to cause problems for Juventus.

Predicted Lineups

Juventus: Di Gregorio; Kalulu, Bremer, Kelly, Cambiaso; Thuram, Locatelli; Conceicao, McKennie, Yildiz; Boga

Bologna: Ravaglia; Zortea, Lucumi, Heggem, Miranda; Moro, Freuler, Pobega; Orsolini, Castro, Rowe

Possible Prediction

Juventus in the Serie A League is slightly more balanced when playing at home, mostly with their enhanced defensive patterns and strong record against Bologna in Turin. However, Bologna are not an easy team to beat and they have shown that they can play well in away games this season.

To add to this, Juventus are missing some of their attacking players due to injuries, which could make it difficult for them to score freely. Bologna, on the other hand, still have attacking threats that can create edges if Juventus are not focused.

Because of this, Juventus may be more in control of the game, but it is not possible to be totally one-sided. The game could be close at times, especially in the first half.

In all of this, Juventus still have the edge due to home win chances and better consistency. But Bologna’s away form shows that they can still be in the form in the game for a long time.

Predictions: Juventus 2-1 Bologna, BTTS/GG, Over 2.5 Goals
